Prime Minister of Tajikistan spoke about prospects of Caspian region

Tajikistan’s Prime Minister, Kohir Rasulzoda, spoke about the prospects for cooperation among Caspian Basin countries, including the development of the Caspian International Transport Corridor, which connects Central Asia with Europe, during his speech at the Third Caspian Economic Forum in Tehran, Sputnik Tajikistan reports.

Rasulzoda stated that Tajikistan’s trade volume with Caspian region countries had already increased by 20% by 2024, accounting for more than 40% of the country’s total trade turnover.

The Tajik Prime Minister expressed confidence in the successful implementation of joint regional projects in engineering, chemical industries, metallurgy, and agriculture.

He emphasized that the Caspian Forum contributes to the development of international cooperation in various economic sectors, including transport, energy, and environmental protection.

According to Rasulzoda, the forum has become a platform for discussing a wide range of cooperation-related issues. In light of global economic events, it has gained particular importance in strengthening integration not only among Caspian states but also with other countries in the region.
