Problems of CA future discussed in Ashgabat

The participants of the V Central Asian Expert Forum discussed the pressing problems of the countries of Central Asia in Ashgabat, Arzuz NEWS reports.

Leading specialists of the five Central Asian countries in strategic research took part in the work of the Forum. The forum is dedicated to the 27th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and World Neutrality Day, the agency reports.

The main topic of the forum was the discussion of the pressing issues of the Central Asian region in the context of current threats and challenges of the time, which depend on the geopolitical and economic situation in the world.

The experts focused on aspects of the regional partnership of the Central Asian countries on global climate change issues. They touched upon the issues of rational use of water resources, water interaction between countries in the Aral basin, security in the information, communication and food sectors.

The forum was held on the basis of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
