Qatari holding JTA supported projects in Kyrgyzstan for $1 bln

The Qatari investment holding JTA holding supported a number of projects presented during the IBIF-2023 business forum held on March 13-14 in Bishkek. This was reported by the Akchabar portal with reference to the press service of the Islamic Business and Investment Corporation.

According to them, a large social project "Muslim" was approved, the amount of financing of which is more than $1 billion.

“This project is aimed at creating conditions for the purchase of automotive, special equipment and affordable housing in accordance with Sharia standards for 150,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, as well as supporting business projects with the creation of 15,000 additional jobs in the regions,” the press service noted.

It also became known that such regional projects as “Sulaiman” in the city of Osh, the amount of financing was $60 million and “Kekilik” in the Issyk-Kul region, the amount of financing was $28 million, received a positive decision from investors.

Based on these data, we can confidently say that these positive developments are the first results of the IBIF-2023 business forum organized by the Islamic Business and Investment Corporation.
