The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will enhance opportunities for cooperation between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan in the field of tourism at the regional level. This was stated by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Mongolia, Dr. Aybek Artykbaev, at a tourism forum in Ulan Bator, the Mongolian agency MONTSAME reports.

The Road Show tourism forum was organized by the Kyrgyz Embassy in Mongolia. Ambassador Aybek Artykbaev, opening the forum, emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia are countries with historical ties, a nomadic history, and culture.

In his speech, he mentioned that Kyrgyzstan plans to implement the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project. This project will create conditions for the shortest route connecting East Asia, Europe, North Asia, and South Asia. It will increase opportunities for cooperation between Mongolia and the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of tourism at the regional level.

In addition, N. Baatarzogt, the Head of the Policy and Regulation Division of Specially Protected Areas at the Mongolian Ministry of Environment and Tourism, reported that this year, 378 Mongolian citizens visited Kyrgyzstan, while 783 citizens of Kyrgyzstan visited Mongolia. This is possibly influenced by the fact that direct flights between Bishkek and Ulan Bator were canceled last year.
