Ahal Province of Turkmenistan and Iran’s North Khorasan Province have agreed to develop cooperation across various sectors, Turkmenportal.com reports.
On November 5, an official meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the participation of North Khorasan Governor Bahman Nouri. The Turkmen side was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmed Gurbanov, the ministry said.
During the talks, both sides emphasized their interest in strengthening regional cooperation based on a previously signed Memorandum of Understanding. The discussion focused on trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties, as well as concrete proposals to expand joint projects in promising areas.
As part of the Iranian delegation’s visit to Ashgabat, additional meetings are planned between the North Khorasan governor, the leadership of Ahal Province, and relevant ministries. These discussions are expected to create practical conditions for implementing joint initiatives and further strengthening bilateral relations.
