The Minister of Finance of Kyrgyzstan, Almaz Baketaev, at a meeting with the participation of the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov, noted that, despite the difficult situation in the world, the execution of the country's budget revenue for 6 months of 2023 amounted to 176.7 billion soms. This figure exceeds the established plan by 8.4%, Baketaev said.
Tax revenues for the first half of the year amounted to 132.2 billion soms, or with a growth rate of 26.4% compared to the same period last year, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan said.
Baketaev also spoke about ongoing reforms in the tax and customs sectors of Kyrgyzstan.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan noted that due to the fiscal reforms carried out, good indicators of the execution of the budget revenues were achieved.
“There is a significant increase in revenues from almost all types of taxes. Thanks to the efforts made, order was put in place in the administration of tax revenues. The next step is to put things in order in the expenditure side of the budget, by optimizing and increasing the efficiency of expenditures,” Zhaparov said.
At the same time, Zhaparov pointed out the need for timely and full funding of all socially significant activities, including the construction of schools and the repair of roads in Kyrgyzstan.
At a meeting at the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan, the execution of the republican budget for the first half of 2023 was considered.
