The administration of the city of Tashkent published data on the population of the Uzbek capital. According to statistics, the number of residents of the capital of Uzbekistan is constantly increasing. In 2022, Tashkent residents increased by 93.3 thousand (an increase of 3.3%), Nova24.uz reports.
As of January 1, 2023, the permanent population of Tashkent is 2,955,700 people.

1,506,400 women.
According to the latest data from the Main Department of Statistics of Ukraine, the population of Kyiv as of February 1, 2022 was 2,950,702, which is 5,000 less than in Tashkent.
Thus, the capital of Uzbekistan has become the third largest city in the post-Soviet space after Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Earlier it was reported that the population of Uzbekistan by 2035 will grow to 45 million people. Experts recommended thinking about reforming the energy sector.
