A group of teachers and members of the Council of Young Scientists (CYSC) of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, in collaboration with their German colleagues - Professor Christian Braueiler and Dr. Tom Schall from the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau, have developed unique software and hardware in the field of advanced medical technologies, Turkmenportal reports.

As reported in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan," the innovative solution is based on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Raspberry Pi microcomputer.

The project aims to create an affordable and effective medical instrument capable of accurately assessing the level of pain in patients with cognitive impairments, who often have difficulty expressing their sensations, thereby complicating the diagnosis of their condition and treatment process.

The new solution enables automatic data analysis and provides objective information about the individual's health status.

An easy-to-use interface allows medical professionals to analyze results easily and make informed decisions.

This invention is designed to significantly improve the quality of care for patients with cognitive impairments.

The partnership between Turkmen and German universities began in 2016 based on a signed Memorandum of Bilateral Cooperation.

German specialists have contributed their extensive experience in artificial intelligence and medical informatics to the implementation of this initiative, while the Turkmen side has provided the development and testing of the hardware component of the project based on the Raspberry Pi.

The development has already been awarded a copyright patent for software by the State Intellectual Property Service of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, confirming its uniqueness and innovation and opening up additional opportunities for commercialization and further technology development.

In the near future, the expansion of the implementation scale of the technology is planned, as well as its further improvement.

Currently, research is underway to integrate the system with other medical devices and platforms, enabling the creation of comprehensive solutions for monitoring and treating various diseases.
