At the initiative of the Tajikistan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Sadriddin Ayni, a Coordination Council of Opera and Ballet Theaters in the CIS will be established to facilitate the exchange of experience among cultural institutions and create a unified database of their works. This information was reported by TASS, citing the theater's press service.

According to the announcement, 'Upon the initiative of [the theater director] Kamoliddin Saifiddinzoda, a Coordination Council of Opera and Ballet Theaters of the CIS countries will be formed under the chairmanship of our theater.'

This proposal was presented by the director at the CIS countries' festival-symposium 'Commonwealth of Academic Arts,' held in Saint Petersburg.

'The idea of the Tajik theater was warmly supported by colleagues and they have already begun its practical and legal implementation,' the statement indicated.

As per sources, this collective body is being established to facilitate the exchange of experiences among cultural institutions. The theater in Dushanbe, as the initiator of the proposal, will lead this council until 2025. The council also plans to establish a unified electronic database of works.

'This would enhance the effectiveness of our relationships and contribute to staying informed about cultural events in our neighboring countries,' emphasized K. Saifiddinzoda."
