In Ashgabat, participants of the second meeting of the speakers of the parliaments of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Korea discussed strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation, which is an important tool for maintaining productive dialogue and mutual understanding between countries, reports Turkmen TDH.

At the plenary session titled "Partnership for Peace, Prosperity, and Mutual Trust," it was noted that the key role in building and strengthening parliamentary relations belongs to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Thanks to his foresight, the centuries-old ties between nations are being strengthened and enriched with new creative impulses.

In the afternoon, the work continued in two sessions: "Economic Cooperation, Digital Economy, and Industry" and "Cooperation between Central Asian Countries and the Republic of Korea to Mitigate the Impact of Climate Change on the Path to Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals." The results of the meeting were reflected in a Joint Declaration, adopted based on the proposals and opinions expressed.

The participants also held separate negotiations to discuss bilateral parliamentary relations.
