The Share of Households with Migrants in Kyrgyzstan Decreased from 14% to 8%.
This data comes from the World Bank’s monitoring report "Listening to the Kyrgyz Republic" covering the period from December 2021 to October 2024, reports Economist.kg.
Only 1% of households in Kyrgyzstan today report having a family member considering migration, compared to 13% in 2021. Experts attribute this trend to an improved economic situation in Kyrgyzstan.
At the same time, citizens’ sense of financial security has increased: 75% of households reported financial stability in October 2024, more than double the 33% reported in December 2021.
