As of June 12, 2025, Tajik citizens can once again apply for an electronic tourist visa (eVisa) to Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom’s Embassy in Dushanbe officially announced. Applications can be submitted via www.visitsaudi.com, reports Rus.azattyq.org.

The eVisa is valid for one year and allows stays of up to 90 days. It permits tourism, visiting relatives, and performing the Umrah pilgrimage, which is available year-round except during the Hajj season.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old (minors may travel with adults), have a passport valid for at least six months, proof of residence in Tajikistan, round-trip tickets, proof of employment or income, financial documents, and the address of accommodation in Saudi Arabia.

Tajikistan was temporarily removed from the eVisa list in April 2025 due to logistical preparations for Hajj. Uzbekistan faced a similar restriction, while Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan retained access. The embassy had stressed the suspension was temporary, tied solely to Hajj-related capacity concerns.

Tajikistan was first included in the eVisa program in August 2023 as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader visa liberalization policy. Its reinstatement signals continued efforts to boost tourism and strengthen people-to-people ties between the two nations.
