Political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Tajikistan and Moldova at the level of heads of structural divisions were held in the format of a videoconference, Avesta reports.

The parties discussed topical issues of Tajik-Moldovan cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.

During the videoconference, an exchange of views took place on the interaction of the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations, the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan reports.

The parties expressed their readiness to give an additional impetus to mutually beneficial Tajik-Moldovan cooperation through the joint efforts of the foreign ministries.

The consultations were timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Moldova.

At this moment, Moldova is a member of the CIS, however, in connection with the events in Ukraine, pro-European forces came to the leadership of the country, and the President of Moldova, Sandu, adheres to the position of withdrawing Moldova from all interstate organizations in which Russia occupies a leading position.
