This issue was discussed in Dushanbe during the sixth coordination meeting on communication, navigation, and air traffic management systems (CNS/ATM) between Tajikistan and China, according to Tajikairnavigation (Tajik State Airnavigation Agency), reports Avesta.tj.

The meeting was attended by Aziz Nabizoda, Deputy Director of Tajikistan’s Civil Aviation Agency, Loik Begijonzoda, General Director of Tajikairnavigation, and Ma Bing, Deputy Director-General of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Ji Shumin, Ambassador of China to Tajikistan, Representatives from China’s civil aviation sector and China Southern Airlines.

Negotiators discussed the potential of using the Pomir-Avgut air corridor as a transit route, which would not only improve air connectivity between Tajikistan and China but also expand air transit between Asia and Europe.

Tajikairnavigation emphasized that implementing this initiative would contribute to the development of aviation infrastructure, increase air traffic volume, and strengthen the strategic partnership between Tajikistan and China.
