Tajikistan and the Czech Republic have agreed on plans to expand bilateral economic cooperation with a focus on mechanical engineering, mining and modernization of production infrastructure, Khovar said.
During specialized consultations, the parties discussed the implementation of joint industrial projects, the supply of modern equipment and the involvement of Czech technologies for processing the republic’s mineral resources.
Special attention is paid to the creation of joint ventures, localization of component production and strengthening of institutional partnerships between the business communities of the two countries.
Dushanbe and Prague confirmed their readiness to form permanent working mechanisms to support investment initiatives and increase mutual trade turnover in high-tech sectors.
Intensifying industrial dialogue with the Czech Republic is in line with Tajikistan’s strategic course towards accelerated industrialization and diversification of the national economy.
Attracting Czech experience and technology in the fields of mechanical engineering and subsoil use allows increasing the added value of extracted raw materials within the country.
For European investors, Tajikistan is of interest as a growing market and a promising production hub in Central Asia with access to hydropower resources.
Pragmatic cooperation with partners from Central Europe is helping Dushanbe reduce technological dependence and create new skilled jobs.
