Tajikistan and the European Union discussed extending the budget support program for vocational education for the next two years. This was announced following a meeting between Deputy Minister of Labor of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdurakhmon Ashuralizoda and EU representative Vincent Biggot, Avesta.tj reports.
The parties praised the results of ongoing projects (2023–2025), which included renovating adult education centers, implementing digitalization, and establishing sectoral committees in the construction and textile industries. Thanks to the successful achievement of key indicators, cooperation will be expanded.
The new stages of the program will focus on three areas:
- Green Economy: training in eco-friendly skills.
- Digitalization: implementing IT technologies in education and the labor market.
- Inclusion: supporting women and persons with disabilities through retraining and employment.
The European Union confirmed its readiness to continue funding reforms aimed at developing human capital in Tajikistan.
