Tajikistan and Iran Discuss Cooperation in Oil and Gas Sector

The Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, Daler Juma, held talks with the Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohsen Poknajad, on February 19 during his working visit to Iran, the press service of the Tajik ministry reports.

The parties discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector, attracting investments, and the possibility of supplying crude oil from Iran to meet the needs of Tajikistan’s oil refineries on preferential terms.

During the meeting, they also addressed the exchange of experience between specialists from both countries and the study of oil and gas fields in Tajikistan.
