On November 24, Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin held talks with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi.
The meeting, which took place in Dushanbe, became another indication of the strengthening dialogue between the two countries, Eurasiatoday.ru reports, citing the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the talks, the sides discussed the current state of cooperation and prospects for its expansion. Special attention was given to the development of economic and cultural ties, as well as security issues, which remain one of the key elements of the Tajik–Iranian agenda.
The participants exchanged views on the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms and noted the potential for launching new joint initiatives. It was emphasized that Dushanbe and Tehran seek not only to maintain political dialogue but also to enrich it with practical content.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the talks were held in a constructive atmosphere and confirmed the mutual interest of both countries in further strengthening their partnership based on respect for sovereignty, equality, and shared benefit.
