Tajikistan and Pakistan face similar security threats and challenges due to their proximity to Afghanistan, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said at a meeting with Tajik Defense Minister Sherali Mirzo, Pakistani Associated Press reported.
It is indicated that Minister Asif highly appreciated the efforts of Tajikistan to strengthen peace in the region. He called on the Tajik side to resolve all issues related to Afghanistan peacefully.
The head of the Pakistani Ministry of Defense called for strengthening cooperation between law enforcement agencies in the exchange of intelligence. Tajik Defense Minister Sherali Mirzo said that Pakistan and Tajikistan are working to develop bilateral relations.
