Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia Sign Agreement on Diplomat Training

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Farrukh Sharifzoda, met in Dushanbe with Dr. Mushabbab Al-Qahtani, Rector of the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute of Diplomatic Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reports Avesta.tj.

During the talks, the parties discussed current and prospective areas of cooperation in training personnel for the foreign policy sector. The main topic on the agenda was the organization of joint educational programs, advanced training courses, and internships for young diplomats from both countries.

Farrukh Sharifzoda emphasized the importance of exchanging experience and best practices in international relations, noting that such interaction strengthens bilateral ties and enhances the professional level of diplomatic services.

Dr. Mushabbab Al-Qahtani, in turn, highlighted Tajikistan’s successful experience in regional diplomacy and expressed the Institute's readiness to continue cooperation, proposing to expand courses for Tajik specialists on topics such as strategic communications and negotiation technologies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the ministries signed a bilateral cooperation agreement between the Center for Advanced Training and Retraining of Diplomatic Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute of Diplomatic Studies.

The agreement provides for joint development of training programs, exchange of faculty and experts, and the organization of annual internships for young diplomats. The signing of the document marked an important step toward deepening Tajik-Saudi partnership in education and diplomatic personnel training.
