The Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan held a working meeting with Ibrahim Ethem Ünal, Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in Tajikistan, according to Pressa.tj.
Also participating in the talks were First Deputy Minister Nazima Karimzoda, Deputy Ministers Aziza Ashuralizoda and Sherzod Norzoda, along with relevant ministry officials.
The parties reviewed the implementation of the Agreement and the Protocol of the First Meeting of the Joint Working Commission, signed by the labor ministers of Tajikistan and Turkey during the Turkish delegation’s visit to Dushanbe from September 20–24, 2025. That visit included a bilateral meeting between Soleykhon Kholmakhmadzoda, Tajikistan’s Minister of Labor, and Vedat Işıkhan, Turkey’s Minister of Labor and Social Security.
Cooperation between Tajikistan’s Ministry of Labor and TİKA has been ongoing since 2009. Over this period, significant projects have been implemented to strengthen the technical and material base of educational institutions, including the construction and equipment of specialized classrooms in confectionery arts, training cafeterias, and gas and electric welding. Turkish experts have also regularly delivered professional development courses for teachers and vocational trainers.
During the latest meeting, new proposals for expanding collaboration were presented, including the establishment of modern training classrooms at the Center for the Development of Crafts and Professional Skills, enhancement of youth career guidance systems, and additional training programs.
The Ministry expressed gratitude to TİKA’s Coordinator for his longstanding support and contribution to the development of Tajikistan’s vocational education and employment systems. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to sustainably develop the country’s workforce potential.
