Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda held talks with the United Arab Emirates Minister of Economic Development and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, who is visiting Dushanbe on a working trip. The meeting took place on July 16, news agency Khovar reports.
During the talks, both sides discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, including economy, trade, industry, energy, tourism, air connectivity, and agriculture.
Particular attention was paid to boosting business ties and trade turnover. The two sides emphasized the role of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade, and Technical Cooperation as an effective platform for advancing joint initiatives.
One of the concrete steps highlighted was the expansion of air travel between Tajikistan and the UAE, including the launch of new direct flights between capitals and major cities. Both sides agreed that this would enhance tourism development and foreign trade.
The talks also touched upon investment opportunities in Tajikistan’s industrial and renewable energy sectors, considering the UAE’s growing interest in green technologies and sustainable development in the region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening friendly relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation across all priority sectors.
