The State Unitary Enterprise 'Tajikaeronavigation' and the State Unitary Enterprise 'Uzaeronavigation' signed a memorandum of cooperation, reports the press service of the Civil Aviation Agency of Tajikistan.
Cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the field of civil aviation is developing within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the countries. The presidents of the two countries signed an agreement on allied relations between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in April 2024, according to the statement.
It is noted that the leaders of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan instructed their governments to explore the possibility of opening new air routes between the cities of the two countries and to increase the frequency of flights between the capitals.
'In order to implement cooperation in the field of air navigation, the leadership and specialists of the State Unitary Enterprise Center 'Uzaeronavigation' visited the State Unitary Enterprise 'Tajikaeronavigation'... A ceremony for signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Unitary Enterprise 'Tajikaeronavigation' and the State Unitary Enterprise Center 'Uzaeronavigation' took place,' the statement says.
The parties noted that their joint efforts are aimed at improving the quality and safety of air communication between the countries. They expressed confidence that the exchange of experience and technologies will lead to new achievements in this area.
The bilateral meeting also discussed a plan of further actions to develop cooperation.
