The primary sectors of investment include the mining industry, finance, construction, energy, and telecommunications. As an example, a metallurgical plant for the production of lead, silver, and copper was established in the Sughd Region. Its first phase was launched six years ago, and its construction is expected to be completed by the end of the next year.

"At present, there are more than 200 joint Tajik-Chinese companies and over 70 enterprises operating in Tajikistan. The implementation of the global project 'One Belt, One Road' is also underway, which will allow the development of not only China and Tajikistan's economies but also many other countries involved in this project. We hope that China will continue to be a key partner for Tajikistan," stated Oraz Murtazozoda, the Head of the Department of Macroeconomic Affairs at the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Overall, over the past ten years, Tajikistan's economy has received investments exceeding $2.5 billion.
