In Tajikistan, cases of document falsification for land use rights, illegal transfer, buying and selling of land, arbitrary seizure of land plots, and other violations persist, stated the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, during a government meeting, Asia Plus reports.

According to Rahmon, there are also ongoing instances of unfair distribution of land plots by the leadership and employees of local executive bodies, self-government bodies, agricultural farms, and private individuals.

During inspections, violations were identified involving 161 officials, including 5 employees of state executive authorities, 4 architects, 25 employees of the land survey committee, 55 employees of the state real estate registration committee, and 65 chairpersons and engineers of public developers.

"Criminal cases have been initiated against 7 farm managers for illegal alienation of land, document forgery, and fraud," said the President of Tajikistan.

Meanwhile, according to President Rahmon, nearly 18,000 hectares of illegally occupied and unlawfully transferred land plots have been restored to their original state. These lands were located in areas such as Shahrinav, Jabor Rasulov, Bobojon Gafurov, Istaravshan, Panj, Vose, Devastich, and Kanibadam. Thirteen criminal cases have been initiated based on these facts.
