Tajikistan Calls for Strengthened Cooperation at OSCE and “C5+5” Meetings in Vienna

On December 4, 2025, in Vienna, Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, participated in the 32nd Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Avesta.tj reports.

In his speech, the minister outlined Tajikistan’s priorities in military-political, economic-environmental, and humanitarian areas of OSCE cooperation. Referring to recent incidents on the Afghan border, S. Muhriddin called on member states to expand collaboration for timely and effective responses to current challenges. The foreign minister also reaffirmed Tajikistan’s readiness to continue constructive cooperation with the OSCE and its institutions to advance national interests and support the organization’s objectives in the region.

On the same day, the minister took part in the first informal meeting of foreign ministers from Central Asia and Northern Europe (Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland) in the “C5+5” format. The ministers discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, as well as regional security and political-economic cooperation.
