The year 2023 has been another successful year for Tajikistan, despite unprecedented challenges in the modern world, climate change, and its severe consequences, such as drought and low water levels. This conclusion was drawn by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in his address to the people titled "On the Main Directions of the Republic's Internal and External Policy."

The document presents a series of impressive figures. The country's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 8.3% compared to the previous year, reaching over 130 billion somoni. The revenue part of the state budget is secured at 102.5%. Over 40 billion somoni have been allocated from the state budget alone to address issues related to the development of the socio-economic sphere, an increase of 5.3 billion somoni compared to 2022.

Over the past seven years, the average growth rate of the national economy has been 7.5%, and the gross domestic product has increased by 1.5 times.

All these achievements were possible despite the impact of negative factors in recent years, including the spread of COVID-19, regional conflicts, disruptions in the international economic and financial relations system, and their direct impact on the national economy.
