Tajikistan increased its foreign trade turnover with CIS countries

Tajikistan is increasing trade with CIS countries. Exports of goods in January-May 2024 amounted to $879.6 million, which is 1.6 times or $319.5 million more than in January-May 2023, reports Avesta.tj.

Imports of goods into the country amounted to $2.9 billion, which is 27.1% or $619.0 million more than in January-May 2023.

Tajikistan has foreign trade relations with 104 countries worldwide, including 10 CIS countries and 94 countries from distant abroad.

Foreign trade turnover with CIS countries accounted for 45.0%, or $1.70 billion, while with distant abroad countries it was 55.0%, or $2.08 billion.

The trade balance deficit with CIS countries amounted to $1.2579 billion, and with distant abroad countries it was $763.4 million.
