Starting from February 3, 2025, flights from Dushanbe to Tehran will operate on an updated schedule, providing passengers with greater convenience in planning their trips.

Flights on Mondays will now be operated during the day instead of in the evening as before. The departure time from Dushanbe will be at 10:00 AM, and from Tehran at 12:50 PM local time, Asiaplus.tj reports.

Additionally, starting from March 5, 2025, Somon Air will introduce an additional flight frequency on this route on Wednesdays: departure from Dushanbe at 2:00 PM and from Tehran at 4:50 PM local time.

"Thus, from March 5, flights to Tehran will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays. The flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircraft, allowing passengers to travel more frequently between Tajikistan and Iran. The flight time from Dushanbe to Tehran is 2 hours and 50 minutes, while the return flight takes 2 hours and 30 minutes," Somon Air noted.

The airline highlighted that the visa-free regime between Tajikistan and Iran for passengers traveling by air will undoubtedly boost tourism, cultural, and business exchanges.

"In turn, we strive to ensure a high level of comfort and reliability for everyone who chooses Somon Air for their travels," said Somon Air's CEO, Abdulqosim Valiev.

Somon Air, a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), has been operating international flights since 2008. Its fleet consists of Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircraft. Currently, Somon Air operates regular flights between Tajikistan and Germany, the UAE, Turkey, China, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

According to agreements reached at the end of 2024, new rules came into effect on February 3: citizens of both countries holding general foreign passports will be able to travel visa-free to each other's territories by air for up to 30 days within a 90-day period.

This measure applies only to air travel between the two countries. Citizens crossing the state border through third countries and/or land border checkpoints will be required to obtain an appropriate visa.
