Almost 1 million foreign tourists visited Tajikistan in 2022. The country's authorities now plan to attract up to 1.5 million tourists by 2025, Kamoliddin Muminzoda, chairman of the Tajik tourism development committee said.
To achieve this goal, a number of programs are being implemented in Tajikistan, including the construction of tourism infrastructure and new types of tourism and tourist routes. One of the types of tourism is agritourism.
In addition, work is underway to create promotional tourist videos.
Currently, negotiations are underway with the BBC television and radio corporation to shoot a 57-second video and a 4-minute documentary about the tourism opportunities in Tajikistan.
