A Tajik delegation, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, participated in and delivered a speech at the high-level panel on "Green Transition and Hydrogen" during the "Global Gateways" forum held in the capital of Belgium, Brussels, Avesta reports.

Presenting the country's existing potential, Sirojiddin Muhriddin identified the hydroenergy sector as one of the key aspects of the "green transition" and the primary source of green hydrogen production.

With the adoption of the "Green Economy Strategy," Tajikistan has laid the foundation for transitioning to a green economy and aims to double the production of electricity from renewable sources by 2050, stated the head of Tajikistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Muhriddin also highlighted the presence of natural resources and rare-earth elements in Tajikistan, which are in demand by industrially developed countries.
