Tajikistan will fully connect to the single energy ring of Central Asia at the beginning of 2023, said Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Jamshed Shoimzoda.
Connection on some lines, as well as the export of electricity to neighboring countries, including Uzbekistan, have already begun in the south and north of the republic, Shoimzola said.
He pointed out that the implementation of this plan is influenced by many factors - while the Tajik side pays special attention to the security and stability of the unified system.
This is due to the fact that at the beginning of 2022, an accident occurred in the unified energy center of Central Asia, as a result of which most of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan were left without electricity.
With this in mind, every effort is being made to ensure the security of the energy ring together with partners.
Earlier, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan, Daler Juma, said that connection to the unified energy system would be carried out through high-voltage power lines. To do this, trained specialists will use the latest technological developments.
