The press center of the Border Troops of Tajikistan’s State Committee for National Security has reported another armed attack originating from Afghanistan, Khovar news agency reports.

According to the agency, on 30 November 2025 at around 18:45, a terrorist group crossed into Tajikistan from the Afghan village of Ruzvayak in Badakhshan Province and attacked employees of the China Road and Bridge Corporation in the village of Shodak, Vishkharv jamoat, Darvaz district.
Two Chinese citizens were killed in the attack, and two others were wounded.

The press center noted that a similar assault occurred on 26 November from the Shahri Buzurg district into the Shamsiddin Shohin area. That incident claimed the lives of three employees of the “Shohin-SM” company, also Chinese nationals, while one person was injured.

“Despite the measures being taken to strengthen security, criminal groups continue actions aimed at destabilizing the situation along the state border,” the statement said. Tajikistan expressed deep concern over the incidents and urged Afghanistan’s authorities to take effective steps to ensure border security and apprehend those responsible.

Tajik security forces have reinforced control along border sections and introduced additional measures to safeguard both citizens and foreign specialists. The situation along the border remains stable and under the supervision of relevant authorities.

On 1 December, President Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with heads of security agencies, where he strongly condemned the “illegal and provocative actions of Afghan citizens” and instructed officials to take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
