In 2023, the implementation of five projects for the reconstruction of roads, the construction of bridges and avalanche corridors will begin, the relevant departments of Tajikistan reported.
In the new year, almost 214 km of roads with a total length of almost 214 km will be rehabilitated, the agency reports, citing sources from the official bodies of Tajikistan.
In particular, the restoration of the Guliston-Kulyab (32.5 km), Dangara-Guliston (49.2 km), Guliston-Farkhor (40 km), Bokhtar-Levakant-Dangara (40 km), 4 sections of roads in the Sughd region will begin (52 km).
In addition, the construction of bridges over the Gund and Shofdaryo rivers, avalanche corridors in the town of Barsem (4.6 km) in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region will begin.
In 2022, the implementation of three investment projects began, including the reconstruction of part of the Dangara-Bohtar highway (29 km) and Dushanbe-Kulma on the Kalaikhumb-Vanch-border section of the Rushan district (93 km).
Currently, 17 investment projects totaling 11 billion somoni are being implemented in the country in the field of transport.
