Young engineers from Tajikistan participated for the first time in the international tournament VEX Robotics World Championship, which took place from April 29 to May 3 this year in the USA. This was made possible, in part, thanks to the support of "Dushanbe City Bank" JSC, Asia Plus reports.
The VEX Robotics World Championship gathers thousands of participants from around the world. This year, Tajikistan was represented by two participants - Muhammad Temurov and Iskandar Zairov, who not only made their mark on the international stage but also demonstrated the potential of Tajik youth in the field of robotics.
These young minds, trained at the "Robots League of Tajikistan" school of robotics and programming under the leadership of Firuz Bakoev, competed in the VEX IQ league for elementary and middle schools.
The team underwent thorough preparation and qualification in Almaty, proving their right to represent Tajikistan at such a high level. As a result of the competition, the Tajik team ranked in the top 300 out of more than 700 participating teams from around the world.
Returning home does not mark the end of the journey for the participants.
"After a short rest, we will start preparing for the next competitions. Our goal is not just to participate but to win," said Iskandar Zairov.
Tajikistan's participation in international technological competitions aligns with the mission of "Dushanbe City Bank" JSC in the field of the country's digitalization. The development of robotics and new technologies is a key element on the path to creating an innovative society.
"Dushanbe City Bank" JSC is one of the leaders in the banking sector of Tajikistan. Since 2016, it has held second place in the number of bank cardholders. In the fall of 2021, a new online wallet – DC Next – was introduced, featuring a user-friendly interface and a wide range of functions.
In 2024, the bank introduced VISA Gold cards with the VISA PayWave contactless payment technology and an expanded set of other features. You can manage the card payments using the DC Next app.
