Turkmenistan's main Christmas tree, adorning the square in front of the "Alem" cultural and entertainment center, has become the tallest among the New Year symbols in the CIS countries, Orient.tm reports.

The height of Turkmenistan's New Year tree is 44 meters. The second place in the ranking is taken by the festive symbol from Yerevan (37 meters), and the top three is completed by the main Christmas tree in the Uzbek capital, which stands at a height of 35 meters. Further down the list are the trees in Baku (34 meters), Bishkek (32 meters), Dushanbe (30 meters), Minsk (28 meters), Astana (25 meters), Moscow (25 meters), and Chisinau (20 meters).

It is worth noting that this is not the first record for Turkmenistan's New Year tree. The country's festive symbol has maintained the status of the tallest in the CIS for more than 5 consecutive years, becoming taller each year.
