Three Golden Horde Settlements and 250 Artifacts Discovered in Kazakhstan

During excavations at the Saraishyk Museum-Reserve in Kazakhstan's south, archaeologists discovered three new settlements and 250 artifacts from the Golden Horde era. This was reported by the Kazakh television channel 24KZ.

"In addition to the 250 artifacts, we were able to uncover the remains of walls from a residential building, a citadel, and a caravanserai. The finds date back to the early 14th century and belong to the Golden Horde era," the report stated.

The scientists reported their findings at an event summarizing the 2025 research at Atyrau University.

According to the television channel, archaeologists have discovered more than 7,000 artifacts at the museum-reserve, and restoration of the ancient structures is underway.
