Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku, putting forward a number of key initiatives in the areas of regional security, energy, and digital cooperation, Kazinform reported.

The head of state called on participating countries to join efforts to ensure macro-regional stability, deepen logistical connectivity, and jointly address environmental challenges in Asia.

Special attention was paid in his speech to transboundary water resources and climate adaptation, as well as the creation of new green and digital corridors between regions.

Kazakhstan reaffirmed its position as an active supporter of multilateral dialogue and pragmatic diplomacy aimed at strengthening mutual trust in the Asia-Pacific and Central Asian regions.

The Kazakh leader's speech at the CICA platform underscores Astana's status as one of the main initiators of a systemic Asian dialogue.

A focus on logistical connectivity and environmental security is in line with Kazakhstan's strategic interests in transforming the country into a key transit and energy hub for Eurasia.

In a context of global geopolitical and economic turbulence, promoting multilateral formats allows Astana to mitigate foreign policy risks and attract investment in infrastructure.

This diplomatic activity strengthens Kazakhstan's position as a leading player shaping the regional architecture of security and sustainable development.
