The foreign trade turnover of goods and services of Uzbekistan with the EAEU countries is growing steadily and amounted to $ 15.7 billion in 2022, of which exports - $ 5.6 billion, imports - $ 10.1 billion, the press service of the Eurasian Development Bank reports.
Compared to 2021, the volume of trade increased by 22.7%, or $2.9 billion, with all countries of the union. With Russia, the growth of mutual trade amounted to $ 1.7 billion, with Kazakhstan - $ 700.4 million, with other countries of the EAEU - $ 475.1 million.
Exports to the EAEU countries grew more than imports — by 35.0% and 16.8%, respectively.
“The change in the global geography of trade and economic ties, as well as logistical ties in the Eurasian space, which began in 2022, is becoming an additional factor for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EAEU countries,” EBR analysts say.
