Transit cargo transportation by road increases in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has significantly increased transit cargo transportation by road in 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan informs, the LS portal reports.

According to the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry, in the first nine months of 2022, these transportations increased by 67% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 37.9 thousand tons.

Most of all, products of the chemical industry were transported in transit - 17.3 thousand tons. Machines, mechanisms, equipment and apparatus - 6 thousand tons, vegetable products - 4.5 thousand tons, ferrous and non-ferrous metals - 3.9 thousand tons, plastic products, rubber and rubber products were also sent to other countries through Kazakhstan - 3.8 thousand tons, according to the State Revenue Committee of the ministry.
