A roadmap for the supply of Turkmen gas to Europe will be developed in the near future, Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said on Haber TV channel, TASS reports.
“I hope the roadmap will be prepared soon. To study this issue, a working group has been created, the work will be accelerated,” the head of the Ministry of Energy said, talking about plans to supply blue fuel from Turkmenistan to Turkey and further to Europe.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the mechanism for the supply of Turkmen blue fuel to Europe would be worked out within a month.
According to publicly announced plans, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan will first work out export issues in a trilateral format, and then the Turkish side will negotiate with the EU.
The summit of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan was held on December 14 in the Turkmen city of Avaza, where the summit participants resolved a number of issues of interest to the parties. Among the issues discussed was the issue of the supply of Turkmen gas to Europe through Turkey.
