Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are creating a new joint conglomerate "Turkic Automobile Industry", which is designed to unite the automobile markets of countries with a population of more than 65 million people. The auto industry of the Turkic countries will jointly assemble cars under the UzAuto brand, Orient reports.

In cooperation with the Azermash plants in Azerbaijan and Saryarkaavtoprom in Kazakhstan, UzAuto Motors has been assembling Chevrolet cars from car kits supplied by Uzbekistan for several years. As part of the conglomerate, it is planned to assemble new Chevrolet models and expand the existing capacities of the Azerbaijani and Kazakh auto industries. Deliveries of Uzbek components to these countries will be increased several times.

The agreements were consolidated in Tashkent by agreements that provide for the financing of the project "Organization of the production of Chevrolet cars in Kazakhstan using the small-scale assembly method." $50 million will be allocated for this program.

According to another contract, Uzavtosanoat will supply car kits and Chevrolet components to the Kazakh enterprise Saryarkaavtoprom. The cost of this project is 500 million dollars.

The third document signed between Uzavtosanoatom and Allur (Kazakhstan) is aimed at creating a distribution center and a marketplace in Uzbekistan for the sale of spare parts for cars.
