The Turkmen national air carrier Turkmenistan Airlines will soon be replenished with a new cargo aircraft from the European manufacturer of airbuses A300-200P2F, Orient.tm reports.

As part of the state order, Turkmenistan will soon receive another aircraft of a similar modification. In addition, the next cargo aircraft is expected to be purchased from the American manufacturer Boeing. This means that the air cargo fleet of Turkmenistan will be replenished with 3 modern aircraft from Western manufacturers, expanding its fleet with 11 cargo aircraft, including 8 Russian Il-76TD aircraft.

The main supplier of Turkmen Airlines is the American aerospace corporation Boeing. Boeing 777 has become the main driving force of the entire national aviation industry of Turkmenistan. These airliners operate flights from Ashgabat to Europe and to Asia - China, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan. In addition to these flights, these aircraft serve Turkish and Russian routes.

The total air fleet of Turkmenistan has 28 vessels for domestic and international flights. The intensive expansion of the existing aircraft fleet in Turkmenistan is of a strategic nature and aims to achieve special economic and transit interests. And given that the Turkmen airline is one of the safest companies in Asia, as it positions itself, it has every chance to become the locomotive of regional transportation.

For comparison: the Kazakh airline Air Astana has 29 aircrafts and focuses mainly on neighboring countries, especially in the Russian direction, and on transportation within Kazakhstan.

Another major airline in the region is Uzbekistan Airways, which has a fleet of 36 aircrafts. Of these, 2 are in storage and 5 more belong to the Government of Uzbekistan for lettering services. Uzbekistan has the largest aircraft fleet in the region and an extensive route network. But if we take into account that the population of the country is almost 36 million people, then it turns out that in terms of air transportation capabilities, Turkmenistan is considered the country most provided with aircraft, concludes Orient.tm.

It is known that before the coronavirus pandemic, the Turkmen air carrier had been operating flights to the Indian capital and Amritsar for many years. The resumption of flights helps Turkmenistan to become the most profitable air bridge connecting India with European countries. Ordinary Indian citizens flew to British and German cities with a transfer in Ashgabat. Turkmenistan's strategy for multi-vector routes contributes to the fact that the country can become the largest inland carrier in Central Asia, according to Orient.tm.
