Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, received the newly appointed Coordinator for Foreign Relations, Business, and Trade Contacts of Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Shaheryar Memon, at the Turkmen Embassy in Islamabad, Orient.tm reports.

Movlamov outlined the main directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, rooted in neutrality and mutually beneficial cooperation. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen trade and economic ties between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.

The Ambassador also highlighted Turkmenistan’s major energy initiatives, including the TAPI gas pipeline and the TAP power transmission line, both of which hold strategic importance for regional energy security and integration.

Special attention was given to the construction of Arkadag — Turkmenistan’s innovative and environmentally sustainable city, designed to serve as a model for “smart” urban development in the region.

The talks further covered a wide range of bilateral issues, including trade and economic cooperation, energy partnerships, as well as cultural and educational exchanges. Both sides noted that expanding collaboration in these areas could open new prospects for long-term engagement.
