Turkmen-Kazakh Commission on International Road Transport discussed prospects

At the latest meeting of the Turkmen-Kazakh commission on international road transportation issues in the city of Turkmenbashi, questions regarding the current state of road transportation between the two countries and the prospects for further growth were discussed, Orient.tm reports.

The Turkmen delegation was led by the Chairman of the Agency "Turkmenavtoulaglary" of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, while the Kazakh delegation was led by the Chairman of the Committee for Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan.

It was noted that the countries are effectively utilizing the transnational railway line Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran, which allows for the transportation of goods to the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean region, as well as to Europe.
