As part of Turkmenistan’s delegation visit to Azerbaijan, led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, a meeting was held on July 3 with Afghanistan’s Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar, Orient.tm reports.
According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry’s press service, the parties discussed key issues related to political-diplomatic and trade-economic cooperation.
Special attention was given to energy and transport-communication cooperation. In particular, the discussion focused on the construction of the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline, as well as power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication routes along the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan (TAP) corridor.
