Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan discussed provisions of draft agreement on delimitation of bottom of Caspian Sea

Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan continued to discuss the provisions of the draft agreement on the delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea between the two states in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported on January 26, Interfax reports.

They noted that the next meeting of the Joint Working Group on the delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat from 24 to 25 January this year. The Azerbaijani delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for Border and Caspian Sea Issues Khalaf Khalafov, the delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by Director of the Institute of the Caspian Sea, Special Representative of Turkmenistan for Caspian Issues Myrat Atajanov.

"During the meeting, the discussion of the provisions of the draft agreement on the delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan was continued," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
