During the working visit of Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to China, four key memoranda of understanding were signed to deepen bilateral cooperation in education, intellectual property, museum affairs, and media, according to Turkmen media.
As reported by the official newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan," the agreements establish partnerships in the following areas:
- Between the Institute of International Relations of Turkmenistan and Lanzhou University for academic exchange and joint research;
- Between Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Finance and Economy and China’s National Intellectual Property Administration to strengthen the protection of innovations and technologies;
- Between the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan and the National Museum of China to exchange exhibitions and expertise;
- Between the Turkmen editorial office “Altyn asyr” and the Chinese newspaper “Renmin Ribao” to enhance cooperation in the information sphere.
The two sides also discussed prospects for expanding transport infrastructure and energy sector collaboration, including the implementation of joint projects under the Belt and Road Initiative.
In recent years, Turkmenistan and China have consistently strengthened bilateral ties in economy, science, education, and culture. The signing of these new memoranda marks a new stage in humanitarian cooperation, promoting knowledge exchange, raising professional standards, and creating opportunities for future joint projects.
