The official delegation of Turkmenistan, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, who is on a working visit to France, held negotiations with French companies that are part of the International Association "MEDEF International," Turkmenportal.tm reports.
During the meetings, the Turkmen side introduced representatives of the French business community to the key directions of the country's economic development and investment potential.
In discussions on intensifying and expanding Turkmen-French cooperation, the meeting participants identified the following sectors as prospective areas of partnership: oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, transportation and communications, medical industry and pharmaceuticals, financial and banking sectors, as well as the water management complex.
Vice-Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov also held a meeting with representatives of the French business community, including the Honorary President of the Trade Chamber "France-Turkmenistan," President of "CIFAL International Services" company Gilles Remy, Honorary President of "CARPI Tech" company Alberto Maria Squero, and the General Director of this company, Francois Tronel, President of the "Buig Group" Martin Buig, President of "Vinci Construction Grand Projets" Patrick Cadri.
During the meetings, they discussed current issues of cooperation with these companies.
As part of the visit to Paris, members of the Turkmen delegation held a series of bilateral negotiations with leaders and representatives of various state structures and French companies, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
