Turkmenistan and IsDB discuss new projects in energy and transport

Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Muhammad Al Jasser, discussed priority issues of bilateral cooperation, reports TDH.

The head of the IsDB reaffirmed the bank's readiness to strengthen its long-standing partnership with Turkmenistan, which follows a policy of positive neutrality and is implementing large-scale socio-economic projects.

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for cooperation in areas such as healthcare, energy, transport, and sustainable development.

Special attention was given to projects in the oil and gas sector, clean energy, and the development of transport and logistics infrastructure.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of international cooperation for the country’s economic development and expressed confidence in further expanding the partnership with the IsDB.

During Turkmenistan's 30 years of membership in the IsDB, the bank has financed more than 20 major projects in areas such as healthcare, education, transport, communications, and energy.
